Louis Sachar is an author of children's books. His works include: Johnny's in the Basement, Someday Angeline, Holes (which won the the Newberry Medal, National Book Award, and other children's literature awards), The Boy Who Lost His Face, Dogs Don't Tell Jokes, and the Wayside School stories.
