Lotis

In Greek mythology, Lotis was a nymph, daughter of Poseidon. Priapus tried to rape her and she was changed into a lotus tree to escape him. Later, Dryope picked a flower off the tree Lotis had become, and was transformed into a lotus herself.

In biology, Lotis[?] is a genus of ladybird beetle.
