Loose Booty

Title of song: Loose Booty

Artist: Funkadelic

Title of album: America Eats Its Young

Year of first release: 1972

This is widely considered one of the better songs off what is an otherwise relatively weak album. It was a remake of a Parliament song.

Songwriter(s):

Memorable Lyrics:

  • "Eeny meeny miney moe/Catch a junkie by the toe/If he holler let him go"
  • "Little Jack Horner/Sittin' in a corner/Snortin' his New York dope/Pulled back a snort/Went into a nod/Wow, was he a dope"

Complete lyrics at the Motherpage (http://www.duke.edu/~tmc/motherpage/lyrics_funkadelic/lyr-ameats#lyr-s-loosebooty)

This song is a obscene nursery rhyme. This would eventually become a whole group of P funk songs, all with the same nursery rhyme-quality, yet obscene and perverse lyrics.
