Loomis is a town located in Davison County, South Dakota. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 47.

Geography Loomis is located at 43°47'36" North, 98°6'20" West (43.793375, -98.105451)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 47 people, 18 households, and 14 families residing in the town. The population density is 95.5/km² (242.8/mi²). There are 19 housing units at an average density of 38.6/km² (98.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.87% White, 0.00% African American, 2.13% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 18 households out of which 44.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.7% are married couples living together, 5.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% are non-families. 16.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
