Lluis Companys

Lluís Companys 1883-1940 - Catalan politician. Minister of the Navy of the Spanish Republic, and President of Catalan Generalitat in 1933. He exiled to France in 1939 after the Spanish Civil War. Was returned by German agents to Francoist Spain, and shot at Montjuïc Castle (Barcelona) in 1940.
