Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 3,333 people, 907 households, and 791 families residing in the town. The population density is 743.9/km² (1,931.0/mi²). There are 1,268 housing units at an average density of 283.0/km² (734.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 79.90% White, 0.06% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 18.93% from other races, and 0.51% from two or more races. 88.42% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 907 households out of which 47.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.5% are married couples living together, 12.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.7% are non-families. 11.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.67 and the average family size is 4.00.
