Lind is a town located in Adams County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 582.

Geography Lind is located at 46°58'21" North, 118°36'59" West (46.972564, -118.616346)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.7 km² (1.0 mi²). 2.7 km² (1.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 582 people, 230 households, and 161 families residing in the town. The population density is 218.2/km² (566.3/mi²). There are 307 housing units at an average density of 115.1/km² (298.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 90.89% White, 0.00% African American, 0.52% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 7.22% from other races, and 1.20% from two or more races. 11.86% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 230 households out of which 33.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.0% are married couples living together, 8.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.6% are non-families. 27.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.53 and the average family size is 3.05.

In the town the population is spread out with 29.6% under the age of 18, 4.5% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 17.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.6 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $40,147, and the median income for a family is $40,938. Males have a median income of $33,625 versus $18,000 for females. The per capita income for the town is $16,948. 11.5% of the population and 8.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 18.3% are under the age of 18 and 4.1% are 65 or older.
