Lima, New York

The hamlet of Lima, nineteen miles south of the city of Rochester, in Livingston County of New York State, contains four hair salons[?] and no Chinese take-out. It boasts the usual small-town numbers of bars, diners, and antique stores as well.

The most significant day for the town itself is "Crossroads Day," The celebration involves myriad sales huts and a relay bed race.

"Lima" is pronounced like the bean, not like the capital of Peru. The town was originally named Charleston.
