Lightsaber

It is the principal weapon of the Jedi which can cut through anything except another lightsaber blade. It is also effective defensively in the hands of the Jedi who can use it to block ranged attacks and even redirect them into another desired location. It can also be thrown for a ranged attack and recalled through telekinesis, which is a standard power most Jedi have.

The use of it is usually restricted to the Jedi, partially because it is too dangerous for the unskilled to use. Moreover, it is a considered a final test for a Jedi student to be able to construct their own saber.

Lightsabers are also used by the Sith.
