Lierde

Lierde is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Deftinge, Hemelveerdegem, Sint-Maria-Lierde and Sint-Martens-Lierde. On January 1st, 2000 Lierde had a total population of 6,291 (3,153 males and 3,138 females). The total area is 26.90 km² which gives a population density of 233.87 inhabitants per km².
