Letter From An Unknown Woman

Letter From An Unknown Woman is a 1948 film which tells the story of a concert pianist who, while reading a letter written by a woman he does not remember, gets glimpses into her life story. It stars Joan Fontaine, Louis Jourdan[?], Mady Christians[?] and Marcel Journet[?].

The movie was adapted by Howard Koch[?] from the Stefan Zweig novel Brief einer Unbekannten. It was directed by Max Ophüls. The film has been deemed "culturally significant" by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.
