Leto Atreides

A character in the science fiction novel Dune.

Leto Atreides is the Duke of House Atreides. He is married to the Bene Gesserit acolyte Jessica, who has produced for him the son Paul Atreides.

Known as "the Red Duke", Leto is feared by Emperor, Shaddam IV, and hated by his longtime rival, the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.
