The racial makeup of the city is 55.49% White, 35.33% African American, 1.47% Native American, 2.09% Asian, 0.56% Pacific Islander, 2.25% from other races, and 2.81% from two or more races. 4.92% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
