Lebanon County, Pennsylvania

Lebanon County is a county located in the U.S. State of Pennsylvania. As of 2000, the population is 120,327. Its county seat is Lebanon6.

Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 939 km² (363 mi²). 937 km² (362 mi²) of it is land and 2 km² (1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.20% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 120,327 people, 46,551 households, and 32,771 families residing in the county. The population density is 128/km² (332/mi²). There are 49,320 housing units at an average density of 53/km² (136/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 94.46% White, 1.29% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.89% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 2.26% from other races, and 0.94% from two or more races. 4.96% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 46,551 households out of which 30.40% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.40% are married couples living together, 9.20% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.60% are non-families. 25.20% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.10% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.49 and the average family size is 2.98.

In the county, the population is spread out with 23.70% under the age of 18, 8.20% from 18 to 24, 28.00% from 25 to 44, 23.70% from 45 to 64, and 16.40% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 95.00 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.70 males.
