Kruishoutem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Kruishoutem proper, Nokere[?] and Wannegem-Lede[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Kruishoutem had a total population of 7,849 (4,002 males and 3,847 females). The total area is 47.57 km² which gives a population density of 165.00 inhabitants per km².
