Kristen was a friend of mine for the last 25+ years. Yes, you will read that this one and that one were "the sweetest, or the greatest". This time it's true. Kristen had a smile that squinted up her eyes and made you laugh. Seeing pictures of her make you think she's just out, and will be home soon, like I just missed her this visit. You hear the door and think maybe she'll walk through. Only your heart sinks when you realize it will never happen. I don't think we'll ever get used to this.
