Kozhikode

Kozhikode is the third largest city (pop. 801,190:1991) in the state of Kerala, India.

This city is also known as Calicut. Calicut is famous for receiving Vasco da Gama in 1948. He landed in the remote beach namely Kappad which is about 30 kms away from Calicut City.
