San Jose, California. The pond is about 45 cm (18 in) deep, which is shallower than ideal - it was not originally designed for koi. The largest fish seen is the yellow
ogon at about 50 cm (20 in) long; it was four years old at the time of the photo.
Fish types in this picture, from top to bottom:
- shusui (blue with red streaks)
- a goldfish (the small red and white fish)
- diamond platinum ogon (white)
- ogon (yellow)
- kohaku (red on white)
- bekko (black on white)
- asagi(?) (silvery black on white)
