King protea

The king protea, a flower, is the largest member of the Protea[?] family. It is also known as the giant protea (Protea cynaroides). It is widely distributed in the southwestern and southern parts of South Africa amidst the fynbos kingdom.

The king protea is the national flower of South Africa.
