Katarina Witt is a German figure skater, born on December 3, 1965, in the German city of Staaken. Katarina won two Olympic gold medals, 1984 in the Sarajevo Olympics and the second in 1988 at the Calgary Olympics. She won the world championships in 1984, 1985, 1987, and 1988.
