Karl Amadeus Hartmann

Karl Amadeus Hartmann (August 2, 1905 - December 5, 1963) was a Bavarian composer.

Harmann was a pupil of Anton Webern. His work was prohibited in the Nazi era. He continued to live in Germany during that time and composed for the drawer. After the war he finished a number of fine works chiefly among them nine symphonies.
