Kamal Joumblatt

Kamal Joumblatt (alternative spellings include Kemal Djumblatt, Kamal Janbulat, Kamal Jumblatt, and Kamal Joumblatt) (born December 6, 1917) is the founder of the Progressive Socialist Party in Lebanon. He is member of the Druze religion.

Kamal Joumblatt was a dedicated socialist who advocated land reform. He wanted to break up large land holdings and give tenant farmers a chance to own the land they worked.
