Julus

Julus (Ascanius) was the son of Aeneas in Vergil's Aeneid. He escaped with his father from Troy and reached Latium, where the legend says he had a role in the founding of Rome as the first king of Albalonga.

By his name comes the Gens Julia[?], the Julian family to which Julius Caesar belonged.
