Julio-Claudian

Series of Roman Emperors who ruled from 27 B.C. to A.D. 68, when the last of their line, Nero, was assassinated. The Julio-Claudian dynasty is so named from the nomina or family names of its first two emperors: Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus and Tiberius Claudius Nero.
