Judi Dench

Dame Judi Dench (D.B.E. 1988) is a renowned British actress, born Judith Olivia Dench in York on December 9, 1934. Among her many appearances have been the television series As Time Goes By and the following movies:

• Goldeneye (the first of several James Bond films in which she played M)

In 1971, Judi Dench married British actor Michael Williams, who died of cancer in 2001. They starred together in a British sitcom, A Fine Romance.
