Joseph Duffy

Joseph Duffy (born February 3, 1934) is a Roman Catholic clergyman, Bishop of Clogher since 1979.

Duffy was born in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, and was ordained as a priest on June 22, 1958, at the age of 24. On July 7, 1979, he was appointed Bishop of Clogher, at the age of 45, and he was ordained as Bishop on September 2 the same year. For some years he served as media spokesman for the Irish Bishops Conference.

His Anglican counterpart is Michael Jackson, the Anglican Bishop of Clogher. In 2002, Duffy and Jackson delivered a joint Christmas message[1] (http://ireland.anglican.org/archives/pressreleases/prarchive2002/clogchr).
