John P. Marquand

John Phillips Marquand (1893 - 1960) was an American novelist, born in Wilmington, Delaware, probably best known now as the creator of the fictional detective Mr. Moto. In 1937 he won the Pulitzer Prize for The Late George Apley, a satire about New England society.
