John Henry is the name of
They Might Be Giants' fifth album, although it is the sixth disc in their
discography[?]. It is the first album in which they utilized a full band, as opposed to playing most or all of the instruments themselves. Many of their fans were disappointed in the change; others embraced the new sound.
The track listing is as follows:
- Subliminal
- Snail Shell
- Sleeping in the Flowers
- Unrelated Thing
- AKA Driver - While the lyrics to the song refer to a 'Nyquil[?] driver,' legal issues--whether real or perceived--required a title with no reference to the medicine, and the lyrics to the song are omitted from the CD insert.
- I Should Be Allowed To Think
- Extra Savoir-Faire
- Why Must I Be Sad?
- Spy
- O, Do Not Forsake Me
- No One Knows My Plan
- Dirt Bike
- Destination Moon
- A Self Called Nowhere
- Meet James Ensor
- Thermostat
- Window
- Out of Jail
- Stomp Box
- End of the Tour
