John Clark

John Clark is a fictional character invented by Tom Clancy and appearing in many of his novels. He performed missions for the Special Forces in Vietnam, routed drug dealers in revenge for his girlfriend's murder, was recruited by an admiral into the CIA (and staged his own death right under his Coast Guard friend's nose) in Without Remorse; helped a Soviet official's wife and daughter defect in The Cardinal of the Kremlin; rescued a Japanese politician who became prime minister in Debt of Honor; rescued an abandoned secret military unit in Clear and Present Danger[?]; tracked down the source of a bioterrorism plague in Executive Orders.
