John Cawte Beaglehole

John Cawte Beaglehole (June 13, 1901- October 10, 1971) was born in Wellington, New Zealand. He was a historian based mainly at the Victoria University of Wellington who wrote the definitive biography of James Cook, the 18th century English explorer-seaman, and edited his Journals.
