John Bayley

John Bayley was born in Lahore. Between 1974 and 1992 he was Warton Professor of English at Oxford. He is also a novelist and a critic. He was married to Iris Murdoch, and Jim Broadbent[?] plays him in the film Iris. After Iris's death he married Audi Villers, a family friend.
