Johanna Schopenhauer

Johanna Schopenhauer was born in Danzig in 1766. She became an author and wrote about her life in her native city. She went to Weimar and belonged to the literary circle surrounding Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Johanna was the mother of another famous Danziger native son Arthur Schopenhauer.
