James Pradier

James Pradier, also known as Jean-Jacques Pradier (1790-1852) was a Swiss sculptor best known for his work in the neoclassical style.

Pradier was born in Geneva, Switzerland. He studied under Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres in Paris. In 1827 he became a memeber of the Académie des beaux-art and a professor at the Ecole des beaux-arts.

James Pradier died on June 4, 1852. He is buried in the Père-Lachaise cemetery.
