James Marshall

James W. Marshall was a man from New Jersey. He was the contractor and builder of Sutter's Mill. (Sutter contracted with Marshall in August, 1847 to build the mill.) He found the first gold in sutter's mill.


Another James Marshall is a member of the British House of Commons, representing Leicester South.
