James Gosling

James Gosling (born May 19, 1956) is a famous programmer from Canada.

James Gosling was born near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He graduated from the University of Calgary in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree and received his PhD from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1983.

He is the "father" of the Java programming language, as well as the creator of NeWS and Gosling Emacs.
