Jakob Stämpfli

Jakob Stämpfli (February 23, 1820 - May 15, 1879) was a Swiss politician.

He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on December 6, 1854, and handed over office on December 31, 1863. He was affiliated with the Free Democratic Party. During his office time he held the following departments:

He was president of Switzerland three times, in 1856, 1859, and 1862.
