Ivan Krylov

Ivan Krylov, one of the best-loved writers in Russian literature began his literary career in journalism and short fiction in the late 18th century. Fame came with his later works, especially series of fables written in popular language and folk verse-forms, which appeared during the first half of the 19th century.
