It's Magic, Charlie Brown

It's Magic, Charlie Brown is a 1981 Peanuts special directed by Phil Roman and of course, written by Charles M. Schulz, which earned him a nomination for an Emmy award.

In this special, Snoopy takes a book out from the library - on Charlie Brown's card - and the book is about magic, which influences Snoopy to hold a magic show. In the show, he does the "stick-in-the-hole" trick to Franklin, the "amputation-decapitation" trick to Peppermint Patty, cutting Linus' trademark security blanket into strips, the "levetation" trick to Lucy, and biggest of all, making Charlie Brown invisible. Unfortunately, the infamous blockhead still has bad luck even when invisible, although he does manage to kick Lucy's infamous football which Charlie Brown has never kicked yet. He does even after Snoopy makes him invisible, but Snoopy levitates Lucy into the sky. (Don't call it a Beatles homage!) Fortunately, Linus puts her down with his blanket. The special has lots of laughs.

It has also been released on video, but not yet on DVD.
