iTunes is a music application created by Apple for Macintosh computers. The program allows users of MacOS 9/X to manipulate the music that they own. Users are able to organize playlists[?], edit ID3 tags[?], burn CDs, upload to MP3 players, and run a visualizer to display the music in a psychedelic form. The primary export format is MP3.

Since version 4 (released on April 28, 2003), iTunes supports the feature to browse and buy songs available on the iTunes Music Store and sharing music via the network.

Sharing network is done automatically. Shared lists of songs within the same subset is automatically detected while shared lists outside the subset can be added with specifing IP address.
