Ichtegem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Bekegem[?], Eernegem[?] and Ichtegem proper. On January 1st, 2000 Ichtegem had a total population of 13,242 (6,686 males and 6,556 females). The total area is 45.80 km² which gives a population density of 289.13 inhabitants per km².
