Horst aan de Maas

Horst aan de Maas (population: 28,472) is a municipality in the southeastern Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. The municipality covers an area of 121.93 km² (of which 0.55 km² water).

The municipality of Horst aan de Maas consists the following towns, villages and townships: America, Broekhuizen, Broekhuizenvorst, Griendtsveen, Grubbenvorst, Hegelsom, Horst, Lottum, Melderslo, Meterik.

The hamlet America gives rise to jokingly confusing remarks like "Last week I was in America".

The most famous export product of the hamlet America is probably the Tex-Mex band Rowwen Hèze[?].
