Horse farm of Burtnieki

In 1974 state farm "Burtnieki" became a sort stud farm. In 1987 "Burtnieki" was awarded a name of state stud farm, new stables and an indoors sport manege were built. In 2000 LTD "Burtnieki horse farm" was founded. Here the horses are reared that have got attention in all over Europe. With Burtnieki reared horse the Germany team in Sydney Olympic games won gold and bronze medals.

In the Briedes pub building a horse - breeding and agriculture museum is located. In 2000 Briedes pub was included among Europe Cultural heritage days objects.
