Honorable
The Honourable (abbreviated "The Hon.") is an honorific prefix for politicians and some civil servants[?].
Depending on the country, politicians entitled to the honor can include:
- The President
- A member of the cabinet
- A Member of Parliament
- A judge
- A senator
- A congressman or member of the house of representatives[?]
- A mayor
Judges are the only members that are routinely referred to as "your honor" in spoken address, however.
