Honiara, Solomon Islands

Honiara, population 30,413 (1986), is the capital of the Solomon Islands. The city is located on the island of Guadalcanal, and was rebuilt to replace the former capital of Tulaghi[?] at the end of World War II. The town has a harbor, a reconstructed Government House, and a national museum.
