Geography Hillsboro is located at 38°13'56" North, 90°33'48" West (38.232346, -90.563233)¹.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,675 people, 581 households, and 395 families residing in the city. The population density is 270.6/km² (701.4/mi²). There are 620 housing units at an average density of 100.2/km² (259.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 95.46% White, 2.03% African American, 0.36% Native American, 0.66% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.60% from other races, and 0.90% from two or more races. 2.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
