Highland cattle

Highland cattle are a horned and shaggy ancient Scottish breed which on export to the American Colonies became the breeding stock of the Longhorn. Originally they were black in colour through selective breeding the predominant colour is brown.

There is a Scottish Highland Cattle Society.
