High Fidelity is a British novel by Nick Hornby, also a film made in 2000 starring John Cusack, Jack Black[?] and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The story concerns a man in his 30s who has serious relationship issues. The film's main character is Rob (Cusack) who owns a record shop in Chicago. The film is all about the story of his top five break ups. Catherine Zeta-Jones plays one of the former girlfriends who pops up occasionaly.

Jack Black also stars as one of Rob's assistants in the record store.
