Hexagon

Redirected from Hexagonal

A hexagon is a polygon with six edges and six vertices. A regular hexagon's internal angles are all 120°. Regular hexagons fit together without any gaps, like squares and equilateral triangles, and so are useful for constructing tessellations[?]. The cells of a beehive honeycomb are hexagonal for this reason and because the shape makes efficient use of space and building materials.

L'Hexagone is an epithet of France, owing to the country's shape. A regular hexagon is depicted on France's one- and two-euro coins.

A polygon with five sides is a pentagon, and a polygon with seven sides is a septagon[?].
