Herk-de-Stad is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1st, 2002 Herk-de-Stad had a total population of 11,629 (5,827 males and 5,802 females). The total area is 42.71 km² which gives a population density of 272.28 inhabitants per km².
