Hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma (an alternative name may be hepatoma), is a primary cancer of the liver. Many cases are related to hepatitis B or C infection or a late consequence of cirrhosis. Treatment options are limited and prognosis depends on tumor size.
